You did an awesome job drawing her in human form. I love her hands and pose. She's ready to kick some butt.
My only suggestion would be to use a different color for her hair so that it doesn't blend with her vest.

This is a nice picture. I agree with Alice, the hair or vest should be a few shades darker so there's more value to the piece.
Also, the way you left it uncropped makes it off balance... but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The unbalanced look makes it feel more dynamic and edgy, and since she's flying in the air I think it should stay that way.
You said not to say anything about the background, but I think all it really needs is the blue and the flames. Of course to make the piece a bit more unified the flames should be just a pinch less sketchy, but other than that it's a good fit.
